Financial consolidation software
A group close you can repeat, explain and trace.
Conso 360 takes entity trial balances through mapping, currency translation, eliminations and group adjustments in one consolidation workflow, so the consolidated numbers can be rerun and traced back to the company that produced them.
Built for: group CFOs, finance directors, financial controllers and consolidation managers.
In one consolidation run
- Entity balances mapped to the group chart of accounts
- Translation at closing, average or historical rates
- Intercompany and investment eliminations
- Non-controlling interests and equity-accounted entities
- Consolidated reports with a column for every company
Why spreadsheet consolidation breaks
Every month the same workbook gets rebuilt, and every month it is harder to explain.
Spreadsheet consolidations work until the group adds a currency, an acquisition or a minority shareholder. After that, the close depends on a few people who know which tab holds which adjustment.
Inconsistent entity data
Subsidiaries report on different charts of accounts and in different formats, so mapping is redone by hand each period.
Fragile currency logic
Rate lookups and translation differences are hard-coded in formulas that nobody wants to touch before the audit.
Untraceable eliminations
Intercompany and investment eliminations are typed in as plugs, without a link back to the balances they remove.
Slow answers to simple questions
When the board asks why group margin moved, the answer means unpicking several workbooks.
What Conso 360 handles
The building blocks of a group consolidation, in one place.
Each step uses the group structure and settings you define, so the same inputs always produce the same consolidated result.
Group structure and scope
Define parent, subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures for each period, with ownership percentages and the consolidation method: full, proportional or equity. Effective interest is derived through the ownership chain.
Chart of accounts mapping
Map local accounts to the group chart with effective dates. Conso 360 suggests mappings, lists unmapped accounts and keeps a review status on each mapping.
Currency translation
Assign closing, average or historical rates by account and post translation differences to a dedicated currency translation reserve. ECB reference rates can be synchronised automatically.
Intercompany eliminations
Balances tagged with an intercompany partner are eliminated against control accounts, and investments are eliminated against subsidiary equity, during every run.
Consolidation adjustments
Record manual group adjustments in batches with draft and posted status, choose how they roll forward, and keep them separate from entity data.
Consolidated reporting
Build balance sheet and income statement layouts on the group chart, view every company side by side with totals, and analyse movements by flow.
How a consolidation runs
From entity trial balances to group reports in five steps.
A typical monthly or quarterly close in Conso 360 follows the same sequence every time.
-
01
Collect
Import trial balances from Excel with a saved mapping scheme, or use companies already kept in Conso 360.
-
02
Map and check
Resolve unmapped accounts and run validation rules with tolerances before anything is consolidated.
-
03
Run
Translation, eliminations, non-controlling interests and equity pickup are calculated in a single run.
-
04
Adjust
Add group adjustments for items that need judgement, such as fair value or policy alignment entries.
-
05
Report and trace
Review consolidated reports and drill from a group figure to each company's contribution.
Product interface
See how each company adds up to the group.
Consolidated reports show the contribution of each entity next to eliminations and group adjustments, so reviewers can see where a number comes from before they sign off.

Illustrative example| Line | Parent | Subsidiary A | Subsidiary B | Eliminations | Group |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trade receivables | 1,240 | 860 | 410 | −320 | 2,190 |
| Investment in subsidiaries | 2,500 | — | — | −2,500 | 0 |
| Share capital | 3,000 | 1,800 | 700 | −2,500 | 3,000 |
| Translation reserve | — | — | −46 | — | −46 |
Every elimination traces back to the intercompany balance or investment it removes.
Controls and traceability
Built for reviewers and auditors as well as preparers.
Consolidation is only useful if the result can be defended. Conso 360 records the inputs and settings behind each run.
-
Pre-run checks
Missing exchange rates and incomplete settings are flagged, and block the run until they are resolved.
-
Validation rules
Define information, warning and error checks with tolerances, and review the results by company.
-
Change history
Changes to consolidation settings, scope and manual journal entries are versioned with timestamps.
-
Reproducible runs
Automatic entries are regenerated from source data on every run, so the result can be reproduced after a correction.
Frequently asked questions
What does financial consolidation software do?
It combines the financial statements of a parent and its subsidiaries into one set of group accounts. In Conso 360 that means mapping each entity's accounts to a group chart, translating foreign currency balances, eliminating intercompany balances and investments, calculating non-controlling interests and producing consolidated reports.
Do our subsidiaries need to use Conso 360 for their bookkeeping?
No. You can import trial balances from Excel or other systems using saved import schemes. Entities that already keep their books in Conso 360 can be transferred directly into the consolidation.
Which consolidation methods are supported?
Full consolidation, proportional consolidation and the equity method. You set the method and ownership percentage per entity and period, and effective interest is derived from the ownership chain.
How are intercompany balances eliminated?
Balances recorded against an intercompany partner are eliminated automatically during the run, and investments are eliminated against the equity of the subsidiary. Differences between the two sides should be investigated first; see intercompany reconciliation.
Is goodwill calculated automatically?
No. The difference between investment and acquired equity is taken to consolidated reserves by the standard run. Goodwill and purchase price allocation entries are recorded as group adjustments based on your own acquisition accounting.
Can we see how a group figure was built up?
Yes. Consolidated reports can show each company's contribution next to eliminations and adjustments, and you can drill into the underlying balances.
